Family Friendly Holidays in Andalucía

29 05 2013

KidsFor parents, priorities for holidays change and the least stressful and most enjoyable option for everyone is fundamental. Short flights, spacious and private accommodation and kid friendly facilities all become top priority, without compromising on style and luxury.

Andalucía is an excellent family holiday destination, just a couple of hours from Northern Europe and served by a wide range of airlines with regular flights into Malaga and Gibraltar with lots of activities for the family. What’s more, the Spanish are wonderful with kids and family life is lived outside, so taking your children with you to restaurants and bars is no problem.

The Marbella Club Hotel Golf Resort and Spa welcomes children and has a wide range of options to suit the whole family. The Hotel is an excellent example of the combination of luxury and five star service, with a child friendly environment and facilities.

Family friendly options include:

  • 14 Andalucian villas ranging from two to five bedrooms with gardens and private pool. This year full kitchens have been added to a number of the three bedroom villas, so that families are able to prepare simple meals in comfort.
  • A range of restaurants including the relaxed yet opulent Beach Club surrounding the salt water heated pool and modern MC Café which both have excellent kids’ options.

Set to open for summer 2013 is a spectacular new kids’ club on the site of the founder Prince Alfonso’s old villa. This will be a kids’ club with a difference, which engages and stimulates children with a range of activities and state of the art facilities.

There will be an open kitchen for cooking classes and children will get involved with growing their own food in the vegetable garden. There will be a number of classrooms, dance and music rooms and an art and craft area and a full program of classes. In addition there is a stage for performances, a chill out area, swimming pool and there will be activities on the beach such as kayaking and beach games.

Area General Manager, Franck Sibille explains; “As a father myself I know that parents still want to stay in a stunning hotel, but that it’s important for them to feel comfortable with the kids.

Many people wouldn’t think kids are welcome in such an iconic hotel as the Marbella Club, but in fact the laid back luxury, spacious gardens, private villas and great facilities make it a great family choice. We believe that the addition of the new kids’ club will allow parents to relax whilst the children are stimulated, make friends and have great fun.”
